Ambry's Coffee Shop
The shop Ambry's has been initiated, subsidised
and developed by Almondbury Churches Together (ACT) and it serves
as a friendly meeting place for all the local community. Grants
were obtained from the National Lottery Awards For All, Kirklees
Council Community Support Services, VAK Community Chest, and Groups
For Growth. The grants were used to fund catering equipment and
shopfitting at the Northgate shop.
The staff are all volunteers from the village community. Their aim is to help create a friendly and welcoming environment for people of all ages.
A delicious array of snacks and drinks are available at very competitive prices.
If you haven't called in yet why not drop in sometime? Ambry's is
open from 10.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday, and from 10.00am to
12.30pm on a Saturday.
If you have some time to spare why not volunteer to help run the cafe? If you can give a half day (or longer) on either a weekly or fortnightly basis or could provide cover over a holiday
