The Wesley Centre Friendly Club
The Luncheon Club meets every Monday at the Wesley Centre. Members
start arriving in taxis from about 1015am and by 11am most have
arrived. However, some of our members come between 11.30am and 12
noon and there is no time that people will not be made welcome before
the meal is served.
Our Coordinator is Nicola, who organises the taxis and the food.
She is helped by several volunteers who work in the kitchen and
in preparing the tables and serving the meals.
Every two weeks we have a Tai Chi session which helps our members to keep fit!! Every other week we have a game of bingo. From time to time we have entertainment.
We currently have 40 members and an average attendance of 30. Before the meal there is a plentiful supply of tea and coffee with biscuits and/or cake.
